About Res.Publica.Mgz

Res.Publica.Mgz is an independent media project created by two friends who share a strong interest in politics, society, and European affairs. Both of us study political science, but we approach the subject from different academic perspectives, which often leads to engaging discussions and complementary viewpoints.

The idea for this project grew out of countless conversations between us about political developments, historical contexts, and societal challenges. We realized that many of these discussions should not remain private. With Res.Publica.Mgz we want to create a space where political and social issues can be discussed thoughtfully, where different perspectives meet, and where debate is driven by arguments rather than outrage.

In many online spaces, political discussions have become increasingly polarized and dominated by hostility instead of meaningful exchange. Platforms that once allowed debate often feel like environments where people simply shout past each other. With this project we want to offer a different approach: a place where ideas can be explored, disagreements expressed, and arguments challenged in a constructive way.

Our political orientation is intentionally balanced. We reject extremist ideologies from both the far right and the far left, and there is no place for such positions here. At the same time, controversial opinions are welcome. We do not believe that uncomfortable views should simply be removed. Instead, they should be confronted with arguments and open discussion.

Res.Publica.Mgz is still a new project. We are experimenting, learning, and building this platform step by step. We know we will make mistakes along the way, and we are far from perfect. That is exactly why we welcome feedback, suggestions, and constructive criticism.

Luca

Luca studies political science with a focus on politics, law, and sociology. Before entering academia, he completed a technical vocational training as a mechatronics technician, which gave him a practical and analytical perspective on complex systems and problem solving. His academic interests lie in political structures, democratic processes, and the social dynamics that shape political decision making.

Moritz

Moritz studies political science with a focus on historical perspectives. His academic work explores how historical developments influence contemporary political systems and international relations. He is currently transitioning into a master’s program in economic policy, where he will focus on the interaction between political decision making, economic structures, and public policy.

If you have questions, feedback, or would like to engage with the discussions on Res.Publica.Mgz, we would be happy to hear from you.
